A heavy track this one in dropped 'D' to give it extra bottom end.
The title explains it all really but on occasions we all encounter a weather situation that can in some cases be quite biblical. We see on the news, areas across the globe devastated by hurricanes, tornados, cyclones, tsunamis and violent thunder and lightening storms.
Our weather is getting more extreme these days and it is all because our planet is changing and all the green house gasses are causing the polar caps to melt which in turn puts more water on our planet. As the old saying goes 'what goes up, must come down. This isn't a anti fossil fuel protest song, it's just an observation of what we have to suffer as a result of global warming and dealing with the onset of a storms and the aftermath. It certainly makes you think about the effect we are all having on our planet.
Maybe one day I will write a piece that addresses our human interaction with our world, if we are all still here to listen to it. Scary stuff!

The Storm.

Looking up into the skies, Clouds are building
A stillness in the air, Birds stop singing here!
Appending fear.

Darkness descending, all around us
The Heavens open, rains pouring down on me
One sight to see.

CH) Forked Lightening a crash of thunder
Wind blowing at high velocity
We take cover from the weather
And wait for the passing of the Storm

Lightning Strikes with, such ferocity
For one brief moment, It turns the night into day
There’s buildings aflame
Roofs are torn like, paper off a writing pad,
Someone’s home has gone, the situations bad.

The black clouds gone away
The birds have returned to sing once more
The sun heals our faith
As we look on with despair
Counting the cost we all must share

Blue Skies have returned
But our lives won’t be the same
What lessons did we learn this time around

For the lives it took in vain
