about
This track is free but if you want to pay a little towards it then the proceeds will go to Helping Hands
During these crazy times of the Covid Virus, here is a track written to encourage one area of key workers. This track was written after a friend, Martine, had heard my tribute song to a friend who passed away very suddenly. She works for a company that do wonderful things in the community here in the UK. Looking after the elderly and people with complex needs and people who can't look after them selves for one reason or another. These teams of people, like our NHS, sometimes get forgotten about. So when I was given the challenge of writing a song for them to boost morale, I didn't know if it would turn out credible or not. So this is what I ended up with. It is just to give a shout out to the another sector of carers on the ground floor and frontline in these challenging times of Covid-19. I did think to myself that I would stay away from writing things about the virus, but this is about the staff at Helping Hands carrying on in these challenging times. So every Thursday night when we clap for our carers this organisation needs a clap too.
lyrics
Helping Hands
Helping Hands, We all need them, to do the jobs, we can’t always do
Helping hands, with the unsung heroes, in safe Hands, Seeing them through
Its daily care, given to those,
Who’re in need of professional help
A busy world that we live in,
Taking time to saying hello
Spare a thought for those who those who care
Taking time and being there,
Come rain or shine, morning or noon
They’ll be there helping you through
Helping hands, You know we need them, Doing jobs we can’t always do
Helping hands, with unsung heroes, in safe hands seeing us through
In these times, of virus and lockdown
They're the ones are so vulnerable
The carers work is so important
Helping Hands will shine on through
But as you know we don’t last forever
They’ll be there to hold your hand.
They do the job that no one else can do.
They’ll do it till the very end.
Helping Hands, you know we need them.to do the jobs we can’t always do
Helping Hands, with the unsung heroes, in safe hands seeing us through
Helping Hands, You know we need them, doing jobs we can’t always do
Helping hands, with the unsung heroes, in safe hands seeing us through
Helping hands, we all need them.to do the jobs we can’t always do
Helping hands, care for the people, in safe hands seeing us through
